Cricket Club Itinerary

12 NIGHTS TOUR

Day 1
  • Early morning arrival after an overnight flight and transfer to your hotel/private members club where you will be staying for the next two nights.
  • After checking in, the rest of the day is free to acclimatize and relax after flight.
  • Lunch followed by an optional afternoon net practice.
  • Welcome barbecue for the whole tour party.

Day 2
  • Match No. 1 will be a 'time' game with lunch and tea served to the whole party
  • Dinner at the Tamambo Restaurant, one of Nairobi's premier restaurants

Day 3
  • After an early breakfast, depart by road for Nakuru for Match No.2
  • Supporters can choose to proceed straight to Lake Nakuru Lodge, where the whole party will be staying for the next two nights.
  • Relax by the swimming pool and after lunch enjoy an afternoon game drive.

Day 4
  • Wake up calls are a must in order to get on your game drives before the sun rises over the Rift Valley Escarpment.
  • Lake Nakuru is a bird watchers paradise as a million or more lesser flamingo live on the lake for most of the year. The park is also home to buffalo, lion, cheetah, and giraffe and is perhaps the best place in Kenya to find the elusive leopard and endangered rhino.
  • Return to the lodge for breakfast and a relaxing morning before lunch and a final afternoon game drive.

Day 5
  • An early start after breakfast is essential in order that you arrive at Fig Tree Camp in the Maasai Mara in time for lunch.
  • Your first game drive will begin at 16.00hrs
  • You have two nights at Fig Tree camp and your first game drive will begin
  • The Maasai Mara is one of the world's most famous game reserves and during the course of the next two days you will have the chance to see lion, elephant, cheetah, rhino, leopard, hyena, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and a host of other plains game and birds in the natural splendour of the Maasai Mara.

Day 6
  • Wake up calls are essential to be out on the African plains as the sun rises.
  • You will return to Fig Tree for breakfast and can then relax by the swimming pool or sit on the veranda of your tent which overlooks the Talek River.
  • An unforgettable option is a hot air balloon ride followed by champagne breakfast as dawn breaks over the plains.

Day 7
  • Your final pre breakfast game drive before returning to Nairobi.
  • A snack lunch en route will be taken in Narok and you will arrive in time for a late afternoon net practice...
  • Supper and overnight at your hotel/private members club where you will be based for the next three nights.

Day 8
  • A free day until supper.
  • Optional excursions in Nairobi include visits to Daphne Sheldrick's Elephant Orphanage, the Giraffe Manor, Karen Blixen's Museum, Nairobi National Museum, Kazuri Beads and Jewellery, shopping and golf.
  • Dinner at the world famous Carnivore Restaurant.    

Day 9
  • Match No. 3
  • Dinner at Haandi Restaurant, recognised as Kenya's best Indian restaurant.

Day 10
  • Depart Nairobi on an early morning flight for Mombasa to arrive in time for Match No. 4 at Mombasa Sports Club against Mombasa Sports Club.
  • This is arguably Kenya's most beautiful cricket ground as well as being the oldest cricket club in the country.
  • For those not involved in the cricket, a transfer to Voyager Beach Resort will bring you to the white sand, palm tree fringed Indian Ocean where you will be staying for the next two nights and three full days.

Day 11
  • Free day to relax on the beach and enjoy sun, sea and sand.  Optional excursions to the 16th century Fort Jesus and a tour of Mombasa Old Town.
  • An optional and recommended excursion is a seafood dinner cruise on the Tamarind Dhow.

Day 12
  • Free day on the beach before departing for Nairobi on an evening flight and overnight at you hotel/private members club.
  • Dinner at the hotel/club.

Day 13
  • Final Match No. 5 against an invitation XI at Nairobi Club.
  • Dinner at hotel/private members club before transfer to the airport for your late night return fligh
