safari in Kenya
| WHEN |
WHERE |
and WHAT |
| Day 1 |
ELSEMERE |
As most international flights arrive early
in the morning you will be collected by your safari vehicle
from the airport and driven the 100 km to Elsemere Conservation
Centre, once the home of Joy and George Adamson, for one night
amidst the acacia trees on the banks of Lake Naivasha.
This is an ideal way to wind down after the flight and prepare
for 5 nights of unsurpassed wildlife viewing.
|
| Day 2 and 3 |
LAKE NAKURU |
An hour’s pre-dawn boat trip on the
Lake is an option worth taking. The sun will rise over the
Great Rift Valley and Mount Longonot, a 12,000 ft dormant
volcano.
After breakfast head for Lion Hill Lodge in Lake Nakuru National
Park for the next two nights. The drive should be no more
than an hour. Lake Nakuru is home to over 1 million lesser
flamingo for most of the year, one of the natural wonders
of the world.
It is also one of the best places to find leopard in Kenya
(if you are lucky!) as well as lion, rhino, buffalo and a
host of other animals and birds.
You must get up before the sun rises as to see Africa awake
over the Lake is an unforgettable experience.

| Day 4, 5 and 6 |

of the Great Rift Valley to the most wonderful wildlife refuge

you. Elephant, lion, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest,
hyena and many more in the beautiful Mara will provide photographic

most active.
